INGEMMET, Boletín Serie B: Geología Económica, 69, 315p., 4 mapas. https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12544/2801https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12544/2801315 páginas, 4 mapas.[ESP] En el presente trabajo se muestran los resultados de los estudios geológicos, hidrogeológicos, geoquímicos y geofísicos obtenidos en la zona geotermal Casiri-Kallapuma, localizada en la Cordillera Occidental de los Andes del sur del Perú; se caracteriza por la presencia de descargas de gas y aguas termales. La mayoría de los manantiales termales (<85 °C) se asocian a rocas volcánicas del Cuaternario (<3 Ma). En la zona, afloran rocas sedimentarias y volcánicas recientes, pertenecientes al Cenozoico constituidas por el Grupo Tacaza, Grupo Maure, Formación Sencca, Formación Capillune y el Grupo Barroso. También afloran los volcánicos Purupuruni, Paucarani, los domos Kere y Palluta, así como depósitos de glaciares, fluvioglaciares y aluviales del Pleistoceno superior al Holoceno. En la zona, la mayoría de las unidades geológicas tienen características litológicas para albergar aguas subterráneas. Las unidades acuíferas o reservorios están conformadas por las rocas del Grupo Barroso, por las unidades de la Formación Huilacollo, el Grupo Maure y las unidades geológicas impermeables de la Formación Sencca y el Grupo Tacaza.[ENG] The present work shows the results of the geological, hydrogeological, geochemical and geophysical studies obtained in the Casiri-Kallapuma geothermal zone, located in the Western Cordillera of the Andes of southern Peru, characterized by the presence of gas and water discharges. Most thermal springs (<85 °C) are associated with Quaternary volcanic rocks (< 3My). In addition, in the zone appear the recent sedimentary and volcanic rocks, belonging to the Cenozoic formed by the Tacaza Group (Eocene to Lower Miocene), appear in the area; Maure Group (Middle to Upper Miocene); Sencca and Capillune formations (Miocene superior to Middle Pliocene); the Barroso Group (Pliocene superior to the Pleistocene); and finally the Purpuruni and Paucarani volcanics, manifestations of domes such as the Kere and Palluta mountains, glacial, fluvioglacial and alluvial deposits (Pleistocene superior to the Holocene). However, most the geological units have characteristic lithological for to house groundwater.
