Patients & methods: A total of 215 initially early breast cancer cases were included. We reviewed files and CT scan images of BM. Results: Median age was 47 years and most of our cases were stage III (58.6%), grade III (62.8%), ER negative (62.3%) and nonluminal (59.1%). Median survival after BM was 4 months. Nonluminal, extracranial disease, time to CNS shorter than 15 months, >three brain lesions and poor breast-graded prognostic assessment and recursive partitioning analysis scores were associated with shorter survival. Adding extracranial disease to breast-graded prognostic assessment score also predicted survival after BM. Radiation response was assessed in 57 patients and response tended to be associated with nonluminal phenotype but not with survival. Conclusion: Factors associated with both initial tumor and clinical features at BM time are associated with shorter survival in our Latinas population.application/pdf10.2217/cns.15.5https://repositorio.inen.sld.pe/handle/inen/66engCNS oncologyUKFuture Medicine Ltd.info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessdc.rights.uri: https//creativecomons.org/licenses/by/4.0/DspaceOpen accessRepositorio digitalhttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.02.21Prognostic factors for patients with newly diagnosed brain metastasis from breast cancerinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionreponame:INEN-Institucionalinstname:Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicasinstacron:INENPublicationORIGINALCastaneda 2015.pdfapplication/pdf1648159https://repositorio.inen.sld.pe/bitstreams/7a3d08b6-2604-4221-8695-dd20c57f05c3/download0547f1a2de7943a95674bb6c8b07c0a7MD51TEXTCastaneda 2015.pdf.txtCastaneda 2015.pdf.txtExtracted texttext/plain29669https://repositorio.inen.sld.pe/bitstreams/ad4aa2b6-2cb9-47d9-ab86-2c51d058c0c3/download16c6d5e92bfc760d95b019bb45693837MD52THUMBNAILCastaneda 2015.pdf.jpgCastaneda 2015.pdf.jpgGenerated Thumbnailimage/jpeg5707https://repositorio.inen.sld.pe/bitstreams/b5774685-3d70-449e-b459-26d3594b9c4f/downloadf1d6dd0d3cf722c498207f8b8991fbfaMD53inen/66oai:repositorio.inen.sld.pe:inen/662024-10-23 18:08:55.561dc.rights.uri: https//creativecomons.org/licenses/by/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttps://repositorio.inen.sld.peRepositorio INENrepositorioinendspace@gmail.com
