The gap between the interests of both actors (the company vs. the people), deepened by personal feelings, created an attitude of rejection towards Chochomin mining company (Chinese capitals) and its staff. Julio Concha, the company’s new head of community relations, has to face this hard situation and restart activities that were paralyzed by the population. This case is based on real facts and shows that personal attitudes and approach can often be keys to open or chains to close the doors of social consensus activities.Como muchos pueblos del Perú, Pulpochoque fue receptor de inversiones que no han generado desarrollo en su entorno, al privilegiar lo económico y no tomar en cuenta las necesidades de la población. La diferencia de intereses entre ambos actores –empresa y pueblo–, profundizada por actitudes personales, creó rechazo hacia la minera Chochomin (de capitales chinos) y su personal. A este panorama difícil se enfrenta Julio Concha, nuevo responsable de relaciones comunitarias de la empresa, quien debe poner en marcha acciones que habían sido paralizadas por la oposición del pueblo. El caso se basa en la realidad y muestra que, con frecuencia, las actitudes personales y la forma de acercamiento a los otros pueden ser llaves que abran o cadenas que cierren las puertas hacia la acción social concertada.application/pdfEspañolspaUniversidad ESAN.
