We require a specific textures of non-diagonal decoherence matrices, with non-zero δCP, for having such observations. Using the information from the CPT conjugate channels: νμ→νμ and ν¯μ→ν¯μ and its corresponding backgrounds, we have estimated the sensitivity of DUNE experiment for testing CPT under the previous conditions. Four scenarios for energy dependent decoherence parameters ΓEν=Γ×(Eν/GeV)n, n=−1,0,1, and 2 are taken into account, for most of them, DUNE is able to achieve a 5σ discovery potential having Γ in O(10−23 GeV) for δCP=3π/2. Meanwhile, for δCP=π/2 we reach 3σ for Γ in O(10−24 GeV).Consejo Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Tecnológica - ConcytecengAPSinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/pe/NeutrinosGravedad cuántica-1https://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#1.03.00-1Probing CPT breaking induced by quantum decoherence at DUNEinfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisreponame:CONCYTEC-Institucionalinstname:Consejo Nacional de Ciencia Tecnología e Innovacióninstacron:CONCYTEC#PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE#20.500.12390/1414oai:repositorio.concytec.gob.pe:20.500.12390/14142024-05-30 15:37:01.818https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/pe/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cbinfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessmetadata only accesshttps://repositorio.concytec.gob.peRepositorio Institucional CONCYTECrepositorio@concytec.gob.pe#PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE#<Publication xmlns="https://www.openaire.eu/cerif-profile/1.1/" id="d8d65f25-dd50-45cf-8fdc-a75b2be8fc5d"> <Type xmlns="https://www.openaire.eu/cerif-profile/vocab/COAR_Publication_Types">http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_1843</Type> <Language>eng</Language> <Title>Probing CPT breaking induced by quantum decoherence at DUNE</Title> <PublishedIn> <Publication> </Publication> </PublishedIn> <PublicationDate>2019</PublicationDate> <DOI>https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.99.075022</DOI> <Authors> <Author> <DisplayName>Carrasco Martínez, Juan Carlos</DisplayName> <Person id="rp04162" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> </Authors> <Editors> </Editors> <Publishers> <Publisher> <DisplayName>APS</DisplayName> <OrgUnit /> </Publisher> </Publishers> <License>https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/pe/</License> <Keyword>Neutrinos</Keyword> <Keyword>Gravedad cuántica</Keyword>
We show that, the decoherence phenomena applied to the neutrino system could lead us to have an observable breaking of the fundamental CPT symmetry.
