A number of 2D-PAGE protein spots from both typesof cultures were subjected to MS-TOF analysis and data interrogation of the NCBI nr database available forthis species. Proteomic maps showed different expression patterns in both culture systems with differentiallyexpressed proteins in each case. In biofilm cultures, 19% and 32% of the selected protein spots were overexpressed and differentially expressed, respectively. On the contrary, in free-living cultures, 44% and 7% of theselected protein spots were over-expressed and differentially expressed, respectively. Although preliminary,results presented in this paper show that there are significant differences between the proteomes of A. nigerbiofilm and free-living mycelia. It seems that cell adhesion is the most important stimulus responsible for biofilmdevelopment which is the basis of Surface Adhesion Fermentation.Consejo Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación Tecnológica - ConcytecengFacultad de Ciencias Biologicas, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San MarcosRevista Peruana de Biologiainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/proteomeAsperigillus niger-1biofilms-1https://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#1.06.10-1Initial intracellular proteome profile of Aspergillus Niger biofilmsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/articlereponame:CONCYTEC-Institucionalinstname:Consejo Nacional de Ciencia Tecnología e Innovacióninstacron:CONCYTEC20.500.12390/896oai:repositorio.concytec.gob.pe:20.500.12390/8962024-05-30 15:59:42.101https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccesshttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cbinfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessmetadata only accesshttps://repositorio.concytec.gob.peRepositorio Institucional CONCYTECrepositorio@concytec.gob.pe#PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE##PLACEHOLDER_PARENT_METADATA_VALUE#<Publication xmlns="https://www.openaire.eu/cerif-profile/1.1/" id="784cf94b-1a65-42ae-bc18-80fe08869d82"> <Type xmlns="https://www.openaire.eu/cerif-profile/vocab/COAR_Publication_Types">http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_1843</Type> <Language>eng</Language> <Title>Initial intracellular proteome profile of Aspergillus Niger biofilms</Title> <PublishedIn> <Publication> <Title>Revista Peruana de Biologia</Title> </Publication> </PublishedIn> <PublicationDate>2009</PublicationDate> <SCP-Number>2-s2.0-77953081269</SCP-Number> <Authors> <Author> <DisplayName>Villena G.K.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp01493" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>Venkatesh L.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp02366" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>Yamazaki A.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp02365" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>Tsuyumu S.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp02364" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> <Author> <DisplayName>Gutiérrez-Correa M.</DisplayName> <Person id="rp01494" /> <Affiliation> <OrgUnit> </OrgUnit> </Affiliation> </Author> </Authors> <Editors> </Editors> <Publishers> <Publisher> <DisplayName>Facultad de Ciencias Biologicas, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos</DisplayName> <OrgUnit /> </Publisher> </Publishers> <License>https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/</License> <Keyword>proteome</Keyword> <Keyword>Asperigillus niger</Keyword> <Keyword>biofilms</Keyword>
An initial profiling of the intracellular proteome of Aspergillus niger ATCC 10864 biofilm cultures developed onpolyester cloth was carried out by using 2D-PAGE and MS-TOF analysis and it was compared to the proteomeof conventionally grown free-living submerged cultures.
