Since ancient times, it has been known that cauterization as a procedure allows the treatment of wounds, but itsconsequences can be harmful in multiple cases. Th e to describe the cauterization of gingival growths in the posterior interproximal sector using the Hippocratic method: advantages and disadvantages. Th e use of cauterization is described, although the electrosurgical unit is mentioned as a simple and effi cient technology in the dental treatment service.
Desde la antigüedad, se conoce que la cauterización como procedimiento permite el tratamiento de heridas, pero, sus consecuencias pueden ser dañinas en múltiples casos. El objetivo del estudio fue describir la cauterización de crecimientos gingivales en el sector posterior interproximal mediante el método hipocrático: ventajas y desventajas. Se describe el uso de la cauterización, aunque se menciona al electrobisturí como tecnología sencilla y eficiente en el servicio de tratamiento odontológico.
