Se seleccionó de manera aleatoria una muestra de 567 estudiantes ( hombres ymujeres) de 12 a 17 años de edad de cinco instituciones educativas estatales de la ciudad de Trujillo. En esesentido, se les aplicó el Cuestionario de Agresión (AQ) de Buss y Perry y el Inventario de InteligenciaEmocional de Bar-On. Los resultados evidencian la existencia de correlación significativa e inversa de lainteligencia emocional con la agresión en general y sus factores (agresión verbal, agresión física, hostilidad e ira).
