The results obtained show that after having analyzed the components of the university process and having made a 360 ° assessment in relation to the leadership of the managers, it is necessary to apply a management model with a certain type of leadership, which according to the theory It should be based on the type of transformational leadership. This type of management model has contributed to improving the quality of the processes of the aforementioned university.  Key words: Management model, evaluation 360 °, quality of university processes, transformational leadership, management.El objetivo principal de la presente investigación fue proponer para mejorar la calidad de los procesos universitarios un modelo de gestión basado en el liderazgo transformacional. Se contó con la participación de todos los directivos (10 participantes), trabajadores administrativos (7participantes), docentes (164 docentes) y estudiantes (340 participantes) que pertenecen a las distintas Escuelas Profesionales de la Universidad Privada Filial Chiclayo. Se hizo un estudio descriptivo. Los resultados que se obtuvieron muestran que después de haber analizado los componentes del proceso universitario y haber realizado una evaluación 360° en relación al liderazgo de los directivos es necesario aplicar un modelo de gestión con cierto tipo de liderazgo, que de acuerdo a la teoría se debería tomar como base el tipo de liderazgo transformacional. Este tipo de modelo de gestión viene contribuyendo en la mejora de la calidad de los procesos de la mencionada universidad.
