La gran mayoría de las pacientes estuvo por encima de los 40 años y tenía más de 4 partos. Hubo 87% de curación de la incontinencia y 13% de fracasos. Se retira la técnica de Burch para el manejo de la incontinencia de esfuerzo en 3OO pacientes operadas en la ciudad de Chiclayo, con seguimiento de 20 años en 240 de ellas. La gran mayoría de las pacientes estuvo por encima de los 40 años y tenía más de 4 partos. Hubo 87% de curación de la incontinencia y 13% de fracasos. En conclusión, creemos que el procedimiento quirúrgico de Burch es  fácil de realizar y es una excelente alternativa en el manejo de la incontinencia urinaria de esfuerzo.
