The article describes an analysis of the social responsibility of the economic group CEMEX, which, through its leadership and strategies, has come to be recognized as a world organization in the construction area; and for their responsible actions with society, the environment, vulnerable communities, and others. A qualitative methodology was used with a descriptive thematic analysis; a bibliographic review that includes: articles, studies, news, and the web, on the social responsibility of the organization worldwide, whose objective was to analyze the way in which its actions and strategies impact society and the environment. t is concluded that the economic group, although it has had some failures before society, constitutes a great innovative company that meets social and research objectives, promoting improvement programs in relation to sustainable development, and changes to make a better world through social responsibility. El artículo describe un análisis de la responsabilidad social del grupo económico CEMEX, el cual, a través de su liderazgo y estrategias, ha llegado a ser reconocido como una organización mundial en el área de la construcción; y por sus acciones responsables con la sociedad, medio ambiente, comunidades vulnerables, y otras. Se utilizó una metodología cualitativa con un análisis temático descriptivo; una revisión bibliográfica que comprende: artículos, estudios, noticias, y la web, sobre la responsabilidad social de la organización a nivel mundial, cuyo objetivo fue analizar la forma en que sus acciones y estrategias impactan a la sociedad y al medio ambiente. Se concluye que el grupo económico, aunque ha tenido algunas fallas ante la sociedad, constituye una gran empresa innovadora que cumple con objetivos sociales y de investigación, fomentando programas de mejora en relación al desarrollo sostenible, y cambios para hacer un mundo mejor a través de la responsabilidad social.
