In the 20th century there were several innovations in education. The New School had several proposals: create in the child an interest for learning, personalize the education depending on the needs of the student, preservation of freedom, stimulate intellectual interests, affective and moral needs. In Peru, Encinas, a key figure in education, develops admirably these ideas. These are Encinas proposals: learning must be pertinent and useful, the teacher has to assure a meaningful learning, maturation stages have to be taken into account, the teacher must be a leader capable of orienting others
En el siglo XX hubo varias innovaciones en educación. La Escuela Nueva tenía varias propuestos: crear interés en el niño por el aprendizaje, personalizar la educación según las necesidades del alumno, preservar la libertad, estimular los intereses intelectuales, afectivos y morales. En el Perú, Encinas, una figura clave de la educación, desarrolla admirablemente estas ideas. Estas son las propuestas de Encinas: el aprendizaje debe ser pertinente y útil, el profesor debe asegurarse que el aprendizaje tenga significado, las etapas de maduración deben tomarse en cuenta, el maestro debe ser un orientador y un líder
