In any industrial operation, a major problem in the maintenance of tools, equipment and machinery is that of minimizing wear or recovering worn parts, the cost of which is less than the cost of changing them, for which it is important to recognize the problem and the way to recover them, which generally involves the application of a metallic coating by welding and machining for its finishing. But this is not everything, the most important thing is to know how and with what material to reprocess the piece; For this, it is necessary to know how to select the appropriate type of coating and its application process. The purpose of this work is to select the most suitable coating for the base metal of the worn part.
En toda operación industrial, un problema importante del mantenimiento de herramientas, equipos y maquinarias, es el de minimizar el desgaste o recuperar las piezas desgastadas, cuyo costo es menor que el de cambio de las mismas, para lo cual es importante reconocer el problema y la forma de recuperarlas, que por lo general, implica la aplicación de un recubrimiento metálico por soldadura y un maquinado para su acabado. Pero ello no lo es todo, lo más importante es conocer el cómo y con qué material reprocesar la pieza; para ello es necesario saber seleccionar la el tipo adecuado de recubrimiento y el proceso de aplicación de éste. El presente trabajo tiene por finalidad, lograr seleccionar el recubrimiento más adecuado para el metal base de la pieza desgastada.
