It is accepted though thatcomparisons don't go further than modern times when westemphilosophers took their own different ways.El artículo quiere dar una respuesta afirmativa a la pregunta por la existenciade la filosofía en la India antigua, puesta en duda por el prejuicioeurocéntrico. Para ello se mostrarán cuatro tesis entre las que destacan queen la India, hasta el siglo XVI, reflexionaron sobre los mismos tópicos que lafilosofía griega y europea. Además, señalar lo incorrecto de la apreciaciónque el pensamiento indio es irracional, mientras que el occidental es racional,dado que en ambos casos hubo manifestaciones de irracionalidad.
