Samples were collected randomly in shopping centers and analyzed at the Chemical Analysis Services Unit (USAQ). results, lead values range from 0 ppm to 71.96 ppm, the average concentration being 6.60 ppm, 12.5% of the samples exceed the maximum permissible limits (LMP) of 10 ppm recommended by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Values for arsenic range from 0 ppm to 16.59 ppm, the average concentration is 3.34ppm, and 40.6% of the total samples exceed the maximum permissible limits (MPL) of 3 ppm established by the FDA. Conclusion, the average concentration of lead in lipsticks does not exceed the LMPs. values recommended by the FDA, while the average value of arsenic does exceed it.En el presente estudio de investigación se determinó la concentración de arsénico y plomo en ocho marcas diferentes de lápices labiales que se comercializan en Lima Metropolitana. Materiales y métodos diseño no experimental transversal el método analítico utilizado fue la espectroscopia de absorción atómica con horno de grafito, se aplicó el análisis de varianza para comparar múltiples medias (ANOVA) considerando el p<0.05 para la significancia y la prueba de t- Student. Se recolectaron las muestras aleatoriamente en centros comerciales y se analizaron en la unidad de servicios de análisis químicos (USAQ). resultados los valores de plomo oscilan de 0 ppm a 71.96 ppm siendo la concentración media 6.60 ppm, el 12.5% de las muestras sobrepasan los límites máximos permisibles (LMPs) de 10 ppm recomendados por la Administración de Medicamentos y Alimentos (FDA), Los valores para el arsénico oscilan de 0 ppm a 16.59 ppm, la concentración media es de 3.34ppm, y el 40.6% del total de muestras superan los límites máximos permisibles (LMPs) de 3 ppm establecidos por FDA.
