Clearly it is necessary to change the current educational model and evolve into another model where university education adequately addressed the demand but with quality. Given these needs, Wireless Technology can be one of the key elements that help the required transformations. This has been understood that many Peruvian universities with different intensities of use of the Web offer courses, courses and careers completely virtual. Some believe that the inclusion of Wireless Technologies state that replace the role of teacher, which is not true, because with them the teacher has to play an important role as counselor to students are not lost in the search for information, in the management and use of educational materials, guiding them to make the greatest effort of analysis and interpretation and not just the mechanics of copying and pasting. In this context this article aims to highlight the importance of using wireless technologies to optimize the teaching-learning process.
Es evidente que es necesario cambiar el modelo educativo actual y evolucionar hacia otro modelo donde la formación universitaria atienda adecuadamente a la demanda existente pero con calidad. Ante estas necesidades, las Tecnologías Inalámbricas pueden ser uno de los elementos claves que ayuden a las transformaciones requeridas. Así lo han entendido muchas universidades peruanas que con distintas intensidades de uso de la Web ofertan asignaturas, cursos y carreras totalmente virtuales. Algunos consideran que la inserción de las Tecnologías Inalámbricas plantean que remplazan el papel del profesor, lo que no es verdad, pues con ellas el profesor tiene que jugar un papel importante como orientador, para que los estudiantes no se pierdan en la búsqueda de información, en el manejo y utilización de materiales didáctico, guiándolos para que realicen el mayor esfuerzo de análisis e interpretación y no sólo la mecánica de copiar y pegar. En este contexto el presente artículo busca destacar la importancia de la utilización de las Tecnologías Inalámbricas para optimizar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje.
