Para cubrir la potencia suministrada de la futura Central Solar Fotovoltaica Sumac Nina I, se prevé la implementación de una nueva línea 500 kV, que iniciará en el parque de generación de la futura central, mediante la nueva SE Sumac Nina, y teniendo como punto de conexión la Ampliación de la SE Ocoña. El proyecto se encontrará en la región de Arequipa, provincia de Camaná, distrito Ocoña, en la zona UTM WGS84 - 18K, tendrá un recorrido de 38.5 km aproximadamente. La implementación de esta nueva línea de transmisión cumplirá con lo indicado en el Código Nacional de Electricidad (CNE), Procedimiento N° 20 del Comité de Operación Económica del Sistema Interconectado (PR-20), así mismo de las normativas y estándares nacionales e internaciones vigentes.
