Suicide is a serious and significant public health problem, representing the loss of 720,000 lives each year. However, it is one of the most preventable deaths. The aim of this research was to develop a 24-item test that assesses self-efficacy in the management of suicidal crises, which was applied to an accidental sample of 488 participants, community agents from a private higher education institution in Peru. Among evidence-based interventions, one of the most important is training in suicide risk management for community agents.
