Las calles o vías pavimentadas en un centro poblado son un servicio público el cual todos los pobladores tienen derecho a solicitar, los beneficios que da tener una comunidad con vías pavimentadas son indiscutibles, pueden mejorar los negocios, tener accesibilidad o comunicación con el exterior, aumenta el valor de los predios y mejora la calidad de vida de la comunidad. El diseño de un pavimento puede realizarse por distintos métodos internacionales ya comprobados, siendo el método AASHTO el más rentable a usar y por el que en la mayoría de proyectos se utiliza. This article analyzes the characteristics of the information supplied by the Peruvian print media in a specific election period, the 2018 regional and municipal election, and reflects on their role and contribution to democracy. For data collection, media monitoring, a quantitative technique that uses a codebook and coding sheet as instruments, was employed. A total of 3261 news items from six selected newspapers (three from Lima and three from other regions) were reviewed. This research has shown some trends or patterns of the information supplied by the selected media in the 2018 election, including the fact that the focus of the electoral process was the candidate and not the citizen; there was limited visibility of key issues, such as citizen participation in the electoral process or political party funding; most of the news about the elections was “framed” as a conflict; the new...

The paper presents a review of the literature of news coverage on female presidential candidates. For this purpose, seven coverage frames are included: a) visibility, b) gender reiteration, c) mediation of the intimate sphere, personality, d) thematic agenda, e) tonality and f) particularities of the media. Finally, an operationalization proposal is formulated for each of the frames that could be used in future research that addresses these political figures. It is concluded that women are represented from their intimate sphere and femininity, characteristics that are far from being culturally appropriate for debate in the public and political arena.
