The use of pit and fissure sealants in the area of pediatric dentistry has been very helpful as a preventive measure to avoid carious lesions generally given in the occlusal area of the first permanent molars erupted. These sealants have had constant variations over time, however, the most used are resinous sealants. These types of sealants are mainly classified in polymerization, viscosity and translucency. Introduction: Learning assessment is a process where it is important to incorporate students through self-assessment, to involve them and make them responsible for their learning. Objective: To investigate the usefulness of self-assessment from the perspective of higher education students. Method: The methodology is mixed, with a qualitative analysis carried out in ATLAS.ti and a quantitative analysis developed in SPSS and Excel. Results: Self-assessment is not frequently used since only 23% of the participants have used it with a high frequency. Conclusions: a) An area of opportunity is for students to compare their learning with their peers’, b) for effective self-assessment, students must strengthen their confidence in themselves, c) it is necessary for teachers to incorporate activities after self-assessment, d) the use of self-assessment is useful if its implementation has a goal ...

La presente investigación documental pretende desarrollar el tema de la lectoescritura durante los primeros años de escolaridad: inicial cinco años, primer y segundo grado de primaria, escogiendo este grupo etario porque en Perú, de acuerdo al currículo nacional, desde los cinco años se empieza con el proceso de aprendizaje de la lectoescritura, y para el 2do grado de primaria el niño ya lo debe tener interiorizado. El objetivo general es realizar una revisión de las investigaciones acerca del desarrollo de la lectoescritura en el contexto peruano, en estudiantes de inicial de cinco años, primer y segundo grado de primaria, durante los últimos diez años.

Five cases of dogs with protective IgG antibody titres against canine Parvovirus are describe. The antibody titres were acquired through vaccination or by infection with field strains and that were infected by canine parvovirus in the natural state, developing clinical signs of the disease. Faecal samples from affected dogs were processed using PCR and nested PCR, and amplicons were sequenced for virus genotyping. The results showed that these dogs were infected with canine parvovirus type 2C, indicating that protective IgG antibodies obtained by previous vaccination or infection with field virus were not able to prevent infection or reinfection against canine parvovirus type 2C.

Esta investigación de tipo cuasi-experimental, tuvo por objetivo evaluar los efectos del Programa “Divertilee” para mejorar los procesos lectores de los estudiantes del segundo grado de educación primaria de una institución educativa pública del distrito El Agustino. El método utilizado fue el cuantitativo y la muestra estuvo conformada por 30 estudiantes de ambos sexos, de los cuales 14 fueron asignados para el grupo experimental y 16 para el grupo control, de forma no aleatoria. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron: El programa “Divertilee” para mejorar los procesos lectores y la Batería de Evaluación de los Procesos Lectores – revisada ( PROLEC-R) . Los resultados demostraron que el Programa “Divertilee” mejora los procesos lectores de los estudiantes del grupo experimental en comparación con el grupo control.

This article is a scientific descriptive study of the information requirements prior to any legal practice of abortion, as stipulated by the Womens' Right to Know Act -rules enacted by different States in the U.S.A. to ensure protection ofboth access to a fully Informed Consent ofwomen and the legitimate interest in prenatal lije of the State. In a context that favors the practice of abortion, either by way of legalization or decriminalization, our objective is to introduce the reader to the specific issues around the decision to abort. Adequately knowing such issues enables to weigh deeply the importance of information in the decision making process of those seeking an abortion. Given the complexity of the issue, we refiect briefly on the consideration of abortion as a medical procedure and the use of the legal concept of informed consent in this practice.

This study investigated how advertisers from the creation area of large advertising agencies perceive and characterize their creative process. Thirteen Brazilian professionals were interviewed using semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed by content analysis. Results indicate that several stages of the creative process overlap, such as the incubation period of one job functioning as the preparation for the next. Motivating factors include pleasure of the act of creating, media visibility and its social reach. Limiting factors include the agencies’ excessive departmentalization, reduced deadlines, and the clients’ subjectivity influencing the advertisement approval.
