This essay examines and juxtaposes Mario Jori’s and Frederick Schauer’s ideas on legal formalism. Although developed independently of each other, these ideas show remarkable similarities: both focus on the notion of norm or rule as a tool for clarifying the notion of legal formalism; both defend legal formalism from the criticisms routinely moved against it. The author maintains that Jori’s and Schauer’s theories may contribute to shed light on (and criticize) the controversial notion of defeasibility of legal rules; they may also contribute to scale down, from a legal-theoretical point of view, the novelties of contemporary constitutional orders; finally, it may help to better understand their working machinery.

From the point of view of a contemporary Kula Ring ethnographer, this paper surveys Malinowski’s heritage, sums up the current state of Kula Ring research, and asks of the status of the ethnographic research heritage Malinowski did much to define. All recent Kula Ring anthropologists partly define themselves with respect to Malinowski’s tradition. And the resultsof their work over the last 50 years again made the region central to the discipline for part of the recent past. But today Malinowski’s Trobriand corpus is being redefined. New lines of inquiry are contributing to our understanding of the area. And Malinowski’s methods have fertilized other portions of our social system and branches for self-reflection. As it shouldbe, what Malinowski helped define is very much with us.

The present study's general objective was to identify which motivational factors the employees of the administration and planning management of the district municipality of Sargento Lores attach greater importance to, within the framework of Frederick Herzberg's two-factor theory; For this purpose, a non-experimental descriptive design was applied to the total number of workers of said managements; for which the survey technique was obtained through a questionnaire with three parts: in the first they were asked about the degree of importance they attach to motivational factors, in the second about their current level of motivation, and in the third on what factors your employing entity currently prioritizes or applies. The objective of this research work is to evaluate the scale of motivational factors (appearance, competence, enjoyment, fitness and social) for sport activities using SEMPLS multivariate methods in order to verify the importance of the reliability and validity of the measurement model, based on a construct. The sample usedconsisted of 401 university students from administrative sciences programs and related programs of a Peruvian university. The results found report an average variance extracted of 69.5% for each of the variables and values below the point 0.90 (moderate) for the second order discriminant validity for the HTMT criterion (Heterotrait -Monotrait).

STUDY OBJECTIVES: We sought to evaluate the construct validity and factor structure of the Spanish-language version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) among pregnant Peruvian women. METHODS: A cohort of 642 women were interviewed at ≤ 16 weeks of gestation. During interview, we ascertained information about lifestyles, demographics, sleep characteristics, and mood symptoms. Stress induced sleep disturbance, depressive symptoms, and anxiety symptoms were evaluated using the Ford Insomnia Response to Stress Test (FIRST), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), and Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) assessment scales, respectively.
