The study had as general objective to describe and compare the manifestations of school abuse in students from urban and rural areas schools. It was conducted as a basic research at a comparative level; a questionnaire, initially validated by experts, was used as an information retrieval tool, and after it was corrected, it was validated by a pilot test with students. El estudio tuvo como objetivo general describir y comparar las manifestaciones de maltrato escolar en los alumnos de instituciones educativas públicas de zonas urbanas y rurales. Para ello, se llevó a cabo una investigación básica de nivel comparativo; se utilizó como instrumento de recojo de información un cuestionario validado inicialmente por expertos y, tras ser corregido, por una prueba piloto con estudiantes. Dicho instrumento se aplicó a 197 estudiantes de la I. E. María Inmaculada (Huancayo), 783 estudiantes de la I. E. Túpac Amaru (Chilca) y a 58 estudiantes de la I. E.
