In the present investigation, a comparison was made between the Peruvian, Argentine, Bolivian and Brazilian standards of structural concrete, in order to analyze its content regarding the durability of the concrete and find possible shortcomings of the current Peruvian legislation. The durability of concrete is the ability of this material to withstand the action of various agents that modify its properties. En esta investigación, se presenta al mortero con aditivo plastificante como opción para su uso en la reparación y conservación de obras civiles. Las reparaciones a las que se hacen referencia son de carácter no estructural. Para ello, se compara mortero con aditivo plastificante respecto a un mortero patrón (mortero sin aditivo) y con el clásico mortero usado en esa función, que es el mortero con aditivo expansivo. Siendo las principales propiedades para comparar: la retracción y adherencia, las cuales califican a los morteros de reparación y conservación.
