Early mathematical competencies have a great impact on academic performance and on the development of more complex mathematical skills, especially in early education. Several authors have highlighted the importance of working memory and inhibition in the development of these mathematical skills; however, there is no agreement regarding the explanatory capacity of these executive domains with respect to differentiated performance in mathematics. Introducción: En el envejecimiento se da un cambio en la composición corporal. El sobrepeso y la obesidad contribuyen al aumento de la tasa de morbimortalidad por lo que es necesario un adecuado control. Objetivo: Determinar la frecuencia de sobrepeso, obesidad y factores relacionados en adultos mayores (AM) que acudieron a un hospital general en Lima, Perú entre julio 2017 y febrero 2020. Materiales y métodos: Estudio descriptivo transversal a partir de una base de datos secundaria, donde se evaluaron a AM del consultorio de “Valoración Geriátrica Integral” del Servicio de Geriatría del Hospital Cayetano Heredia durante el periodo de julio 2017 a febrero 2020.
