This paper entitled "Optimization of the synthesis of a 6-bar Stephenson I mechanism for a knee prosthesis using genetic algorithms and Matlab grip", was developed using the method of genetic algorithms to design of articulated four bar mechanisms applied to this system of six bars. La presente tesis tiene como objeto el diseño estructural de un Estacionamiento Subterráneo de Concreto Reforzado con barras de GFRP, con dos sótanos y un parque sobre la estructura, ubicado en La Plazuela Gonzales Prada (Ex-Malvinas), en el Distrito de Trujillo y Provincia de Trujillo departamento La Libertad, así mismo dar a conocer los procedimientos de diseño con GFRP con la Norma ACI 440.1R, y escrutar su factibilidad en el diseño de los elementos de los diferentes elementos estructurales teniendo como refuerzo las barras de “Polímero Reforzado con Fibra de Vidrio”; consecuentemente desarrollar las hojas de cálculo para el diseño estructural utilizando las barras de GFRP. El presente trabajo de investigación realiza una descripción detallada de los grupos electrógenos síncronos, teniendo en cuenta las condiciones necesarias para realizar la sincronización y transferencia automática, también mencionaremos las ventajas de operar varios generadores de corriente alterna en paralelo. This paper proposes a procedure to minimize electrical losses present in industrial systems, through a specific program developed for this purpose, based on Genetic Algorithm, and written using MATLAB instructions.The minimization is realized with the placement of shunt capacitors connected to the buses. For validation of the proposed method, it is considered accuracy and speed, and the developed program´s results are compared with the results produced by traditional programs. The program avoids leading power factor at the bus connected with the power distribution company and the user may determine buses where he does not want the installation of capacitors. The Genetic Algorithm's fitness, responsible for guiding the optimization process, is the active power loss. Finally, the program is applied to minimize active losses present at an industrial system, 38 buses.

The present work entitled "Synthesis of a four-link mechanism for a rest chair using the Newton-Raphson method", was developed using the Freudenstein equation to obtain the optimal dimensions of a four-bar mechanism in a rest chair, and ensure stability in the extreme positions of the chair. The angles 1, 2 and 4 of the links of the mechanism were taken based on the ergonomics of a resting chair and taking into account the anatomy of the human body (back, legs and arms) The synthesis of the mechanism was proposed in the Freudenstein equation for a fourlink mechanism, to which the least-squares method was applied to minimize the error in the desired positions (2 and 4) of the links. En esta tesis se estudió el algoritmo de optimización de Recocido Simulado (RS), analizando sus características principales, variantes, y los parámetros que afectan sus resultados. Además, se aplicó una de las variantes del RS en el contexto de la reconfiguración de redes de distribución. La reconfiguración de redes de distribución es un problema complejo debido al gran número de configuraciones posibles, cuyo análisis resulta inviable por su alto costo computacional. Por ello, se emplearon algoritmos inteligentes, capaces de reducir las soluciones a explorar y encontrar una solución óptima o cercana con menor costo.
