The objective of this quantitative research was to determine the estimated effect of public spending in the labor sector on the adequate level of employment in department of Loreto 2010-2021. To achieve this, all employed persons aged 14 and over and public spending in the labor sector in department of Loreto were considered as the study population. After applying the regression by the OLS method at 95% confidence level, it was determined that when the accrued amount of public spending in the labor sector increases by 1%, the level of adequate employment increases by 0.0206%. Likewise, using the Pearson correlation coefficient, the presence of a strong positive relationship of 71.58% was found between the variables during the period analyzed.
