The Vaccinium genus consists of a variety of berries with high nutritious components consumed worldwide leading to the development of micropropagation protocols to supply the demand. Mortiño, the Andean Blueberry (Vaccinium floribundum Kunth) is a wild berry that grows in high-altitude grasslands with nutritious and commercial potential in Ecuador. In this study, the use of PPMTM (Plant Preservative Mixture™) was effective controlling contamination for the in vitro establishment of Vaccinium floribundum Kunth in contrast to a conventional method using EtOH and Clorox. Stems were defoliated and cut into 1 cm segments, then immersed in liquid MS (Murashige & Skoog) supplemented with 5% v/v PPMTM without pH adjustment for 5 hours under constant shaking. Breakthroughs in vitrification protocols and the results obtained after frozen embryo transfer have resulted in a different version of the assisted reproduction standard cycles: the “freeze-all” cycles. Regardless of their use beyond the usual indications (elevated progesterone, risk of hyperstimulation, among others), this new concept currently represents a common practice in many institutions and is applied to all patients. In this article, we will discuss the various factors that may have contributed to this change in policy and the scientific evidence for this topic. Based on this evidence, we will conclude if clinics should change their way of working from fresh embryo transfers to only transfer frozen embryos, or if we should maintain the standard protocol.

El traslado intrahospitalario del paciente crítico, es un procedimiento que conlleva muchos riesgos latentes para el paciente, por lo que conocer los riesgos a los que se enfrenta es fundamental para mejorar la seguridad. Objetivo: analizar las características del traslado seguro del paciente crítico dentro de la institución de salud. Metodología: se realizó una revisión bibliográfica en las bases de datos de: Scielo, Pubmed, Lilacs, La Referencia; y en la revista de científica Elsevier. Las bandas transportadoras son indispensables en la minería, permitiendo el traslado eficiente de materiales pesados y contribuyendo a una producción fluida. Esta investigación se enfoca en mejorar la evaluación del empalme vulcanizado en caliente de estas bandas en una empresa minera, buscando reducir riesgos de fallas continuas en operación. El propósito del estudio es diseñar un protocolo específico para el empalme vulcanizado en caliente, con el fin de minimizar los riesgos de fallo continuo en una empresa minera en Ancash. OBJECTIVES: To determine the maternal characteristics with statistical probabilities of association with neo natal infection in patients rum premature rupture of membranes (PROM), both at term, as premature. Evaluate the perinatal morbidity and mortality MATERIAL AND METHODS: Retrospective observational study, case-control (infected-no newborn infected) between April 1998 and March 1999, according to protocol established in the Department of Obstetrics Loayza Hospital, entering pregnant with a single fetus, active, without fever and diagnosed with RPM. RESULTS: Of 3985 deliveries, 284 had RPM: 263 were to term and 21 preterm; 8 infants were not assessed (transferred by malformations, four mature, four premature). 259 pregnancies to term 42 infants were infected (16.2%) and 17 premature 11 were infected (64.7%).
