In the context of the virtualization of university education due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we conducted a study to establish the determinants of the intention to use the virtual classroom, following a theoretical model based on the Technology Acceptance Model modified by Park (2009) and including the factors Attitude, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease, Virtual Self-Efficacy, Subjective Norm and Accessibility of the system. The sample consisted of 1260 self-selected students from 13 Dominican universities. To check the validity and reliability of the measurement instrument, we performed a Confirmatory Factor Analysis, which determined that the System Accessibility factor had to be eliminated because it was based on a single item that did not have discriminatory validity. One item was eliminated from the Subjective Norm factor to bring it to an acceptable reliability. In general, the va...

TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) is used in Computational Science research to collect user feedback for Information Systems (IS). Carrying out this research it was found that the TAM is one of the most significant methodological individualist approaches related to adoption of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Different modifications have been incorporated into this model. A systematic review method was used in order to identify studies related to intention to use a technology in universities. 61 primary studies were selected from the different scientific databases. The results show that TAM has been applied in studies related to adoption of e-learning, web 2.0 and ICT. Although TAM has proven to be a coherent model, it still has limitations that can be perceived by other intellectuals as opportunities for future research.

TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) is used in Computer Science research to collect feedback from users of Information Systems (SI). In various research on the adoption of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), TAM has been widely used and adapted depending on the needs of researchers through the incorporation of new factors. The paper aims to present the systematic review focused on the models used in education to accept the inclusion of new information and communication technologies. A total number of identified primary studies were 61. The results show that TAM has been used to explain user adoption of e-learning, web 2.0, and m-learning. The factors most commonly used were PU (perceived utility) and PEOU (perceived ease of use).
