description La presente investigación abordo el tema del diseño del centro de educación básica especial María Reina de la Paz, debido a que la presente institución educativa no cuenta con una infraestructura adecuada que permita la correcta educación de los niños en un establecimiento seguro y que pueda abarcar un mayor número de alumnos en el distrito de Sullana. El objetivo principal de la investigación fue remodelar y ampliar la Infraestructura del centro educativo, presentando un nuevo diseño que contemple una correcta disposición de ambientes de acuerdo al programa arquitectónico que establece el Ministerio de Educación en relación al Programa Nacional de Infraestructura Educativa que aprobó la norma técnica de “Criterios de Diseño para Locales Educativos de Educación Básica Especial, mediante la resolución viceministerial N° 056 – 2019. Se plantea una metodología con enfoque cualitativo, cuyo alcance es descriptivo. El desarrollo que conlleva a una perspectiva teórica de la investigación se basa en la revisión de documentación técnica para saber las características de diseño que se tomaran en cuenta frente a nuestro usuario y a la revisión de fichas de observación para verificar el estado actual de la infraestructura. De acuerdo al análisis realizado, se concluye que la infraestructura actual no es apta para el alojamiento educativo de los alumnos, puesto que presenta diversas patologías constructivas dentro de la edificación y carece de espacios establecidos en la norma actual que fue aprobada por el PRONIED, así como también no cuenta con el equipamiento necesario en cuanto al mobiliario específico para los alumnos.

The main objective of the research was to remodel and expand the infrastructure of the educational center, showing a new design that contemplates a correct arrangement of environments according to the architectural program established by the Ministry of Education in relation to the National Program of Educational Infrastructure that approved the standard technique of “Design Criteria for Educational Premises of Special Basic Education, through vice-ministerial resolution No. 056 - 2019. A methodology with a qualitative approach is proposed, whose scope is descriptive. The development that entails a theoretical perspective of the research is based on the review of technical documentation to know the design characteristics that will be taken into account in front of our user and a review of verification sheets to verify the current state of the infrastructure.
