Summary:This research studied the influence of time of pre oxidation treatment with air and the through rate 400 mesh on gold extraction using oxy-leaching from gravimetric ore concentrate pyrrhotite of Untuca unit of the company Consorcio Minero Horizonte SA, applying the two-factor design with three levels and two repetitions for each factor, performing a total of 18 tests as a measure confirming the validity of the data and driveability. Regarding the population it is considered concentrated mineral pyrrhotite gravimetric high gold, iron and arsenic. The variable pretreatment time air oxidation was evaluated in levels of 18, 24 and 30 hours, the percentage varying through 400 mesh in 80, 85 and 90%. Each test was performed over a time oxy-leaching 18 hours. It was concluded that the interaction time pre oxidation treatment and percentage through 400 mesh has a significant effect on gold mining. The results indicate that the highest gold extraction is 86.04% at a time of pre oxidation treatment and even 30 hours through 400 mesh percentage of 90%.
