|Summary:||This research aimed to determine the relationship between psychosocial factors: level of family functioning, self-esteem and factors of origin, with the level of academic performance of students from the Faculty of Nursing, National University Trujillo, home of Huamachuco 2015. The sample was probabilistic 102 students. Functioning as a tool for family size, family APGAR questionnaire, created by Smilkstein was used; dimension to self-esteem, self-esteem scale was used Rosemberg; and the source dimension was used in origin questionnaire designed by the authors and adequately validated. Conclusions: 1) Regarding academic performance, she found a 11.76% was insufficient (fail), average 24.51%, 30.39% good and very good 33.33%. 2) With respect to family operation, a dysfunctional 24.51% a 31.37% 44.12% functional and very functional. 3) With regard to selfesteem, low self-esteem 31.37% of a 46.08% average self-esteem and high self-esteem 22.55% was found. 4) With respect to the origin a 58.82% is urban marginal, the 30.39% is rural and only 10.78% is urban. Relationship between self-esteem and academic achievement ( 50 .15 2 t X p = 0.05) was found; association between family functioning and academic performance ( 50.152 tX p = 0.05) was also found; and finally they were also associated factors of origin and academic performance ( 50 .152 tX p = 0.05)|
