Summary:The objective of the present work was to determine the effect of the concentrations of polietilenglicoles 400 and 6000 on the disintegration of misoprostol ovulos, for which it was elaborated ovulos with different concentrations from polietilenglicol 400 and 6000 and were made the necessary tests for the election of the mixture. Finally were elaborated ovulos of misoprostol of 25 and 50 ug from tablets of Cytotec® and Misoprostol 1% in hidroxymetilpropylcelulose (HMPC) in dispersion to which were made the analytical controls demanded by the USP and Spanish Pharmacopeia. Of the present work, concludes that, the concentrations appropriate of polietilenglicoles for the formulation of misoprostol ovulos are 60 or 65% of PEG 400 and 40 or 35% of PEG 6000. The time of disintegration increases proportionally to the concentration of PEG 6000
