Summary:The following report is focused on the research entitled "ACCESS AND INFLUENCE OF VIRTUAL SOCIAL NETWORKS IN THE STUDENTS OF THE SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK AT THE NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF TRUJILLO, TRUJILLO DISTRICT, YEAR 2016". The which aims to analyze the influence of virtual social networks of students of the school of social Work in their academic and social development. Therefore study provides aspects needed to know about using the internet imposed in this case, virtual social networks..How is that networks manage to have a boom in adolescents, especially university students, in this case of the students of the Professional School of Social Work, who through instruments such as the interview guide and focus group protocol, it was possible to investigate as they are at the forefront of this technology, and analytical, synthetic, inductive and deductive methods for achieving better results was used. In research was conducted with a sample consisting of 105 students of all levels of school social work, from a qualitative and quantitative perspective to young people between 19 and 24 years old. The fundamental results found indicate that virtual social networks influence their personal development more than academic development, it is clear that social networks will always be part of your daily life. This report, in the discussion of results, is structured as follows: Chapter I: mentions the use that give the students of the School of Social Work virtual social networks, the environment in which access to these networks and the time they spend online. Chapter II: Factors influencing virtual social networks in both personal development and academic development of the students of the Professional School of Social Work is presented in detail. Giving as conclusions that having an often use social skills, their attitudes can become dependent on use of social networks in their social, caring more for the public connected to these networks, but in their academic development with regard to their skills planning, know divide their hours of study hours enter any virtual social network. Finally the respective references and annexes presented.
