|Summary:||Huamachuco, which has an average grade of 2.7 g / t of ore extraction was performed by the leaching process column - in this project the extraction of gold from the auriferous tailings Rusty "EL TORO" Mine was studied curing, as an alternative to simple process. The effect of varying concentration of sodium cyanide (55-145 ppm) in the leaching solution, were evaluated for both processes, in order to determine the most influential process. 25 kg of tailings that were leached in a column 6 inches in diameter and 4.5 feet high, taking daily samples of the percolated solution to analyze the content of gold mined, which is performed by atomic absorption was used in each trial. The results show that the leaching process column with curing has greater influence than a simple process in extracting gold from gold tailings Rusty "EL TORO" mine - Huamachuco, reaching a maximum extraction of 85.2% at a concentration of 105 ppm of sodium cyanide while in a simple process a maximum of 62.1% was achieved at a concentration of 145 ppm. In addition the leach process improves curing percolation rate and dissolution kinetics gold leaching time decreasing at low cyanide concentrations.|
