|Summary:||A cross-section research in 141 sexual workers in Trujillo city in 2009 was carried out in order to identify the significance of the family for sexual workers. Those who answered a survey form and a range of significance of the family for sexual workers, as modified by the authors, this scale had 90 percent reliability. In conclusion, the family in its general dimension is highly significant for most sexual workers (75.2 percent). With respect to the specific estimates, the research concludes that in a spiritual way, the family is highly significant (76.6 percent) as well as the internal structure of the family system (61.0 percent), the family functionality (61.7 percent), the integration of the family system (68.8 percent) and the health care in the family (83.7 percent). With respect to the connection family-society, it is only significant (39.7 percent), and it is considered as little significant (32.6 percent) by a high percentage.|
