|Summary:||This research study, of type descriptive correlational and cross-sectional was conducted in the educational institution "Project Friend" during the months of January to August 2011, in the town of Huamachuco, with the purpose of determining the relationship of protective factors: Project of Life, Family Functioning and the risk of pregnancy in adolescents. The sample universe was composed of 50 female adolescents. For the data collection was used the rating scale of protective factors and the risk of pregnancy in adolescents (EVFPREA), instrument designed by Moreno and Siccha (2000) and amended by the authors of this study, taking into account the principles of anonymity, free participation and confidentiality.The data obtained were tabulated, processed in SPSS version 15 and presented in tables a and double-entry, in numerical form and percentage, for the validation of the test was being used statistical test correlation inter - tema. The analysis of the relationship between the variables of the study was carried out using the test of independence of criteria Chi square (x^ 2). From the discussion of the results were obtained the following conclusions: 82 percent of the adolescents of the Educational Institution "Project Friend" of the district of Huamachuco presented life project defined and 18 percent not defined. 44 percent of the adolescents of the Educational Institution "Project Friend" of the district of Huamachuco presented very good family functioning; 46 percent with good family functioning; 10 percent regular family functioning and no adolescent presents poor family functioning. 46 percent of the adolescents of the Educational Institution "Project Friend" of the district of Huamachucohas a low risk of pregnancy and 54 percent higher risk of pregnancy.
