Summary:In the present investigatic>n essay drain basic studies have beeh done, Which implies topography, soil, freatimetry, irrigation and freatic water salinity studies. in Veracruz admlnlstratlon (Casa Grande companfs annexe), sector of Magdalena de cao in valle chicama, which make it possible to determine parameters for the parcelary drain system design, which at the same time will allow us to rehabilitate the bad natural drain affected soils. Previously soil studies have been done to determine the texture, hydraulic conductivity, ph, salinity, drainable porosity, etc For this studie a battery of observation wells has been installed, which include the whole field, this wells allowed us to take the freatic levels lecturas each week, they gave us an idea about the underground water movement so we could evaluate the critic area .. With this information we accomplished to determine the variation of the freatic level. so we could elaborate the lso depth planes (freatic level depth), iso salinity planes(salt distribution among the field), contour planes (indicates the flow direction) With the results obtained from the soil studies and from the freatic water table. We could determine the normativa recharge in the most affected zone by freatic. Knowing this parameter and the topography from the zone of study we proceed to design an adequate parcelary drain system for those fields with drain problems, which will allow us to evacuate the exceeding water from the field and at the same time will allow us to make an adequate salt wash which finally will guaranty a better production.
