|Summary:||This study was descriptive qualitative research in order to know the experience of sexuality by the elderly patient Self-Care Program Module Care of the Elderly, Faculty of Nursing, National University of Trujillo by describing and analysis of this variable from the perspective of three participants whose selection criteria was based on having about 60 years of age, be sharp, be willing to dialogue and have accepted their participation in research. For this purpose, using a semi-structured depth around ten basic questions concerning the vision of sexuality in relation to the same person, the couple, society, family and the institutions that oversee interview was for the welfare of the elderly. The results show a series of demonstrations of the experience of sexuality in the elderly as memories and nostalgia for youth, feelings of guilt for actions in youth qualms about health care with some optimism, lack of preparation for repairs to change; gender Recognition in physicality and sexuality in sexual function, recognition of sexuality in living with the couple and the family strength and recognition of changes in sexuality with family support; condition and health care and admission of sporadic sexuality, resistance to physical, personal conflicts and resignation, including family, institutional and social|
