Summary:The aim of this study was to evaluate the development of a technology that would obtain seed vegetative banana (Musa sp) Free Cavendish Banana Streak Virus in Chepén, La Libertad. This experiment was conducted at the premises of Mr Roque Miranda Edquen, ABOCH associated producer, possessor of one hectare in the El Algarrobal - Chepén, located in the valley of Jequetepeque, Department ofLa Libertad, during the period between July 2011 until Apri12012. For this research grounds visited different organic banana producers associated with ABOCH , where banana plants were selected for their great vigor and productivity , and especially those who had no symptoms ofBSV or damage from other pathogens. From these plants leaves were sampled at which an analysis was performed using the technique HIV Immune- Capture Reaction Polymerase Chain (IC - PCR.) For the presence of viruses. Following on from the corms of the samples that were negative were propagated shoots or suckers in two phases: first in a shed for 45 and passed final field. A shed level following characteristics were evaluated: average number of shoots per corm, shoot growth, number ofleaves per shoot, percentage ofvegetative seed virus free , virus incidence was determined by observation of symptoms and serological detection of the virus, both at field shed as defmitive ; serological detection of virus by IC- PCR testing was performed on samples of leaves when plants were 8 months final field . In the shed virus symptoms were observed in 5% of shoots or suckers, while in the fmal field for the eight months of evaluation showed symptoms in 10% ofthe plants, which had necrotic spots on the midrib of leaf and pseudostem, but serological analysis (IC- PCR) performed at leaf samples taken at random from 1 O plants showed no definitive field the presence of banana streak virus
