Entre sus consecuencias se incluyen alteraciones en la salud física, dificultades para tomar decisiones, malestar emocional y posibles efectos negativos en los resultados quirúrgicos. El objetivo general de esta investigación es determinar el nivel de ansiedad preoperatoria en pacientes programados para cirugía del hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, 2024. En cuanto a los materiales y métodos, se castellano) utilizó como instrumento el cuestionario de inventario de ansiedad de Beck. El estudio tiene un enfoque cuantitativo, es de tipo descriptivo, con un diseño no experimental y de corte transversal. Los resultados muestran que el 43.8% de los pacientes presenta un nivel de ansiedad baja, el 52.5% un nivel de ansiedad moderada y el 3.8% un nivel severo. En conclusión, este estudio sobre sobre la ansiedad preoperatoria resulta fundamental para fortalecer la seguridad y el bienestar de los pacientes, optimizar los resultados quirúrgico, desarrollar una gestión adecuada y racional de los insumos en el sector salud.

This form of anxiety can manifest itself in a variety of ways and have a considerable impacto n the patient`s surgical experience. Consequences include alterations in physical health, difficulties in decisión- making, emotional distress and posible negative effects on surgical outcomes. The general objective of this research is to determine the level of preoperative anxiety in patients scheduled for surgery at San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, 2024. In terms of materials and methods, the Beck Anxiety Inventory Questionnaire was used as an intrument. The study has a quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The results show that 43.8% of patients have a low level of anxiety, 52.5% a moderate level of anxiety and 3.8% a severe level of anxiety.
