Materiales y métodos: Estudio de corte transversal, descriptivo, analítico, observacional y prospectivo; Donde se incluyeron 74 operadores de posgrado de la facultad de estomatología de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia durante el año 2020, a quienes se les aplicó una encuesta virtual de 15 preguntas para conocer su uso de redes sociales. Posterior a la recopilación de información se realizó un análisis bivariado y descriptivo, utilizando el programa STATA 15.0 con un nivel de confianza de 95% y un p<0.05. Resultados: El 98.6% (n=73) de encuestados utiliza redes sociales frecuentemente con internet móvil y/o domiciliario y se comunica con sus pacientes. Además, no hubo evidencia diferencia estadísticamente significativa entre el uso de las redes sociales descritas y las variables del estudio (p>0.05) Conclusión: Durante el año 2020, se evidenció un uso constante de redes sociales entre los estudiantes de posgrado de la facultad de Estomatología de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia en Lima – Perú.
