In the final part, it reserves a legal approach to the Casación 1048-2018-Arequipa, regarding the security measure imposed on the convicted Reynaldo Huacasi Ticona, which, by cassation of the sentence issued, varied the internment in a psychiatric center initially ordered for that of outpatient treatment. El autor analiza los aspectos dogmáticos y político criminales relacionados con las consecuencias jurídicas del delito, esto es, las sanciones que de este se derivan; aborda también el origen y la evolución de los distintos sistemas regulatorios de penas y medidas de seguridad, determina cuál es aquel que nuestro ordenamiento penal adoptará y diferencia los supuestos que cada uno de ellos contienen para su aplicación en cada situación en concreto. Ya para la parte final, se reserva un abordaje jurídico de la Casación n.o 1048-2018-Arequipa, respecto a la medida de seguridad impuesta al sentenciado Reynaldo Huacasi Ticona que, casando la sentencia expedida, varió el internamiento en un centro psiquiátrico inicialmente dispuesto por el de tratamiento ambulatorio.
