My interest in the subject arises because I am studying Translation and Interpreting and I know that the effectiveness of reading comprehension is established by avoiding any kind of communicative interference such as unfamiliarity with codes.Este artículo abordará el análisis de las traducciones que se han realizado de las paremias en tres tradiciones escritas por don Ricardo Palma. El propósito de este trabajo es conocer cómo la presencia del castellano del siglo XIX y el extenso uso de paremias en la obra han llegado a obstaculizar la comprensión del mensaje original.
