Descripción
Sumario:The main objective of this research was to analyze the impact of environmental awareness on the ecological behaviors of students of the Professional School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry of the Universidad Nacional Jorge Basadre Grohmann during the year 2024. Regarding the methodology, a quantitative approach was used, of a basic type, with an explanatory level and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population studied included 350 students of the school, selecting a representative sample of 141 students by means of a probabilistic sampling.   The survey was used as the main data collection technique, applying a structured questionnaire with 29 items to measure the environmental awareness variable and 19 items to evaluate ecological behaviors. The results obtained after statistical analysis revealed a strong, positive and statistically significant relationship between both variables, evidenced by Pearson's Chi-square statistic (21,989) with a significance level of 0,000. Finally, it was concluded that environmental awareness has a significant impact of 27,9 % (Nagelkerke coefficient) on ecological behaviors, which shows that these behaviors are directly influenced by the level of environmental awareness of the students of the Professional School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry of the UNJBG in Tacna.     Keywords: Ecological behavior, environmental awareness, waste, noise pollution.
