Throughout the exhibition we will make a brief account of the way in which this experience began, its development and the current situation. We will also describe the methods and materials used in the application of bilingual education in Puno, from a presentation of the postulates that support it. Finally, we will attempt a kind of balance of the experience and we will present our point of view regarding the perspectives that this type of work has in the current socio-political reality of the country.El presente trabajo intenta una caracterización breve de una experiencia educativa bilingüe que se desarrolla desde hace casi seis años en la región sur de la Sierra peruana, en el departamento de Puno. A lo largo de la exposición haremos un breve recuento de la forma en la que se inició esta experiencia, de su desarrollo y de la situación actual. Describiremos también los métodos y materiales utilizados en la aplicación de la educación bilingüe de Puno, a partir de una presentación de los postulados que la sustentan.
